Because the class is entirely conducted via the Internet, and no telephone line is involved, participants will use a USB headset and web camera (webcam).
The USB headset connects to the computer via USB (no set up; just plug, test and participate) and allows listening and conversations with teacher and students.
The camera will connect to the computer and display the student live, thus enabling your student to be seen on the teacher’s and other students’ computer screens. This is the magic of ISU’s virtual classroom, helping everyone to get to know each other … and it is particularly helpful when role plays are conducted.
If you already own a headset and/or camera you are welcome to use them! You will probably use these again and again in the future – especially if you decide to incorporate ISU training into your new hire or refreshment training programs.
